As can be seen by the descriptions above, all of the companies within the Polite Group specialize in car parking and car parking only. The first company in the group, Polite Enterprises was formed by Mr James Polkinghorne and Mr Gary White back in 1986 and over the past 17 years Polite Enterprises has built a reputation as being a leader in their field and one of the most respected manufacturers of car park safety equipment in Australia.
The company was founded with the introduction of "Slow-Go", a prefabricated modular speed control system, which was designed and manufactured by Polite and quickly became the largest selling form of speed hump in Australia, thus forming the nucleus for what has been achieved to date.

In this time Polite Enterprises has expanded its product range to include over 200 road, traffic and car park related products and also offers a host of related services from line marking through to complete car park design, layout and refurbishment.

Polite Enterprises has built an outstanding reputation for product excellence, quality and customer service, which has enabled us to proudly supply many of Australia's major companies, government utilities, councils, hospitals, universities and airports.

In Australia, our numerous products, services and our customers are supported through manufacturing, warehouse and office facilities in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane combined with distributors in the remaining states.
Polite Enterprises operates through agents in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei and has used this as a stepping-stone to building strong and successful relationships with other partners throughout South East Asia.
Early in 1995 Polite began operations in Chicago, United States of America, from which Polite Enterprises North America Limited was born.

Initially we introduced two very successful products into the American market, the "Slow-Go" Speed Control System and the "Super-Guard" Expandable Crowd Control Barrier. (known as "Versa-Guard" in the USA). We currently service our customers through a 70 strong distribution network, with sales and administration being controlled through the Chicago office. Manufacturing is contracted out to companies in the Chicago area.

The success of Polite Enterprises led to the formation of Polite Marketing, Arrival Management Group, Access1 and Car Stackers Australia, all of which are an integral part of the Polite Group, specializing in definitive area's of the car parking industry. This has allowed each company to concentrate on it's specific area of expertise which has or will ultimately lead to each of these divisions becoming market leaders in their field.
